For users of a hand- or arm orthosis (supporting device), a special version of the system was devoloped: Free Lock Orthosis Grip (FL-OG). This device is shaped in such a way, that the system can be fitted underneath the socket of a hand- or arm orthosis.
With this Free Lock OG, people who suffer from a brachial plexus injury (BPI) can also make use of the Free Lock-system.
Free Lock OG does not have a wrist unit of it's own and therefore has to be attached to the socket of the orthosis at just the right distance, height and angle to the handlebar.
The Free Lock-system is available in the colors 'silver' and 'black'. The aluminum parts are anodized for protection against corrosion and to give the units a nice appearance.

‘Free Lock’ is a gripping system to be fitted to a prosthesis or orthosis by which users with limited arm- or hand function can ride a bike or motorcycle.
The workings of the Free Lock-system
The Free Lock-system is a mechanism which is designed in such a way that it locks itself to the handlebar during accelerating and decelerating a (motor)cycle. In case of a collision, a crash or unexpected forces higher than pre-set, the system will unlock.

Documentation
For usage of the Free Lock-system with a prosthesis for children, the Free Lock OG (FL-OG) can be used. This version is shorter, more compact and lighter than the Free Lock PG.
